Therapy for your child
If you are arranging therapy for your child, I recognise how important it can be to feel connected to and reassured about the process. Where appropriate, I can arrange check-ins with parents or carers to reflect on how things are going and to discuss any concerns that may arise.
At the same time, I carefully protect your child’s privacy and the confidentiality of their therapeutic space. Having a space that feels genuinely their own is an important part of building trust and supporting the therapeutic process.
Any artwork your child creates during our sessions will be given to them when our work together comes to an end. As the artwork forms part of their therapeutic work, I encourage parents and carers to give their child autonomy over what happens to it afterwards, including whether and where they would like it to be kept or displayed at home.
If I have any safeguarding concerns, I will act in accordance with my safeguarding responsibilities. Wherever it is appropriate and safe to do so, I will be open and transparent with both you and your child about any concerns and the steps that may need to be taken.
